Patient perspective: “We are the ones who can help”

Caius Mersha, a heart patient from Romania, shared his personal story and reflections in a recent AIDAVA Insights video. Living with heart disease since 2016, Caius describes himself as part of the “alive patients,” those who can speak up and make a difference.

For him, participating in clinical data curation is more than just managing information. “It’s easier to monitor yourself, to question everything around you, and to take care of yourself when you have your data in your hands,” he explains.

With his open approach, Caius reminds us that patients’ voices are vital for improving healthcare and supporting others on their journeys.
